Entrepreneurship

Duration – one semester, weekly in-person lectures. This module constitutes an examination of the process of establishing a business, focusing on the practical realities of starting and running a new venture, the funding and support structures available to enable this, all underpinned by current theories of entrepreneurship and small business management.

Learning outcomes:

(1) Evaluate and defend the ongoing theoretical ideas relating to innovation and demonstrate their relevance in practice.

(2) Assess the mechanisms available to support and nurture corporate innovation at both micro and macro levels and direct action to use these supports.

(3) Apply creativity techniques and problem solving techniques to real world situations.
