Duration: 12 lectures, each of 2 hour duration. The goal of this course to persons with disabilities the opportunity to evaluate the viability of their proposed business idea and to develop the business skills and competencies necessary to start a business.
Learners will be able to:
(1) Understand the requirements for starting a business;
(2) Evaluate opportunities for establishing a viable business;
(3) Develop a marketing strategy appropriate to their target market;
(4) Produce financial projections for their business; and
(5) Write a business plan on the feasibility of the market opportunity.
