Course Description
Finance and Entrepreneurship

The course will cover two learning objectives:

1) funding sources and techniques to identify the value of a small business and

2) financial techniques for managing the company. Students will learn about venture capital, business angels and the funding process.

They will also learn how to prepare budgets, manage cash, invoice products, pay taxes and loans.

Key learning outcomes:

  • Have fully understood the possible ways of financing a start-up business.
  • Have gained extensive knowledge of valuation methods used by businesses.
  • Be able to apply business valuation techniques by analyzing its individual pieces.
  • Be able to evaluate possible ways of financing, but also valuation methods which may be presented to them via a third party.
