Principles for the Development of Startups and SMEs

The course explores processes and techniques of development in small businesses and Startups. These companies are under constant pressure to show that their model is efficient and that they can compete successfully with their competitors. Students will learn how to create and maintain a productive environment in the company by exploring models of organizational processes and strategies that will help them develop.

Key learning outcomes:

  • Understood the concepts of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial process in the context of new ventures and SMEs
  • Developed critical skills in identifying, evaluating, and exploiting opportunities
    of new ventures and SMEs
  • Understood the stimuli and barriers faced by new ventures and SMEs
    in their business development
  • Acquired knowledge on the conditions and practices (e.g. management,culture, organization, operation, etc.) that set the structures for the development of new ventures and SMEs
