The study subject will analyze international economic transactions and their reflection in the country’s balance of payments, the international monetary system, factors influencing exchange rates, and the functioning of the foreign exchange market.
Key learning outcomes:
The aim of the subject is to provide students with theoretical knowledge about exchange rates and factors influencing them, the establishment and functioning of the international monetary system, to show the principles and structure of the functioning of the financial market, and to provide knowledge about types of financial transactions.
Tasks:
• to master the theory of exchange rates (factors influencing exchange rates, determination and forecasting of exchange rates) in the short and long term;
• to clarify the nature of currency policy and its impact on the economy.
