BIP: AI & Entrepreneurship in Innovation Ecosystems

This Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) offers undergraduate students a hands-on
introduction to entrepreneurship, combining innovative thinking with real-world project work
in an international setting. It introduces students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship
and innovation ecosystems, emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence (AI) as an enabler
for new business creation.


The programme combines a virtual preparation phase, a five-day on-site workshop week
in Darmstadt, and a virtual reflection phase.


Through interactive sessions, company visits, and project-based teamwork, participants
develop an entrepreneurial mindset, apply Design Thinking as an innovation method, and
explore how AI technologies can support idea generation, product development, and business
modeling.

What learning outcomes will you achieve?


After successful completion, you will be able to:

  1. Explain key concepts of entrepreneurship, innovation, and ecosystem dynamics.
  2. Apply the Design Thinking methodology to identify and solve innovation challenges.
  3. Assess the potential of AI tools for entrepreneurial and innovation processes.
  4. Collaborate effectively in international, interdisciplinary teams using digital
    collaboration tools.
  5. Reflect critically on the role of innovation ecosystems and AI in sustainable value
    creation.
