Commerce I

The aim of the course is to enable students to understand the dimensions of trade through the management of international business. The internationalization of companies creates complex problems with which the management is charged with finding appropriate solutions by exploring a range of strategic options. Consequently, the overall objective of the course is to approach the content of international business within a broader context that involves a series of decisions for the internationalised company. More specifically, the course focuses on understanding the external environment and the key cultural, political, economic and technological developments affecting trade and internationalization prospects, the strategic approach to new external-environment markets, and the management of international business.
