International Trade

The study course provides insight and justification for the necessity of international trade in the context of modern market globalization.

Key learning outcomes:

The aim of the study course is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge in international trade, as well as to develop students’ ability to analyze the development of international trade, applying economic reasoning based on regional and global market development perspectives.

Objectives of the study course:

1) to introduce students to diverse trade theories, assessing their practical application today;

2) to improve knowledge about the role of various international organizations in the field of market liberalization;

3) to promote the ability to navigate international trade issues;

4) to develop the ability to analyze the basic data of the Latvian economy and predict its development trends.
