Introduction to Entrepreneurship

The course will help students acquire the knowledge to increase their chances of becoming successful entrepreneurs. This also includes avoiding common mistakes in the process of creating the business. By studying entrepreneurship, students will acquire the basic knowledge that will enable them to continue in this direction. Students will learn about the entrepreneur’s thinking and mentality, and the characteristics that help them to make decisions and deal with the various challenges. They will also, learn the process of creating a new business.

Key learning outcomes:

  • Understand the meaning, types and characteristics of business, entrepreneurship, entrepreneur and other key definitions
  • Gain a broad knowledge of the origins and core theoretical schools of entrepreneurship
  • Acquire knowledge and understanding of the basic theories and approaches used in the field of entrepreneurship
  • Acquire knowledge related to the characteristics, abilities, and way of thinking of the entrepreneur
  • Understand the key stages of the entrepreneurial process and the role they play in creating and developing the business
  • Acquire the knowledge needed for creating the necessary conditions (related to research, human resources management, marketing, strategy, etc.) that favour entrepreneurial action.
