Course Content

  • Basic theories of organization and management of organizations and businesses (Management Theory):
    The role of management and executives, managerial activities, the role and importance of communication in management.
  • Stakeholder Theory:
    Identification and evaluation of stakeholder groups, characteristics and categories of internal stakeholders, management of internal stakeholder groups, sources and expressions of internal stakeholder power, power and politics within organizations.
  • Organizational Behaviour:
    Teams and groups, organizational change, conflict, leadership, organizational culture.
  • Communication within organizations:
    Strategy and effectiveness of internal communication, barriers to effective communication, expression of empathy through communication, types and forms of communication within organizations.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • Know the basic terminology and use it correctly, accurately, and confidently.
  • Describe the main management theories, recognize their similarities and differences, and understand the factors that influence the development of management theory and practice.
  • Understand the basic principles of organizing and managing organizations and teams, as well as the role of communication in their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Describe, analyse in depth, and compare organizational structures and communication practices.
  • Identify problems and propose solutions based on the application of theory, explain and justify their proposals, and identify limitations and expected outcomes.
  • Evaluate alternative approaches to solving practical and ethical problems and justify their viewpoints.
